Konoon
Konoon is a convenient and intimate space purposefully placed in the heart of the busy and fatiguing air travel atmosphere. It is a suggested design solution that brings a sense of escapism and emotional connection between parents and their children.
The space design concept of the lounge is inspired by the cozy feeling associated with nature. It adapts multiple biophilic characteristics and interprets their attached emotional effects and reflects them into the interior atmosphere.
The space design elements of the lounge are meant to express a welcoming mood representative of a natural hugging sensation. This soft feeling of embracement is exactly what the overstimulated children and stressed parents need to experience before continuing their journey, and they can travel with a renewed sense of energy.
The lounge’s name is chosen to communicate all these emotions. The word Konoon is an Arabic word and means to be relaxed in a protected and covered space.
