After doing the rounds of the motor shows, the Spicup
was sold off to a dealer in Dusseldorf, who in turn sold it
engineering department-led initiative, unlike most of the
other projects, which were, most often, led by the design
department. Apparently, the fallout over differences in
approach led to the exit of Cingolani from Carrozzeria
through Bonhams in 2011.
