                    Rennsport Reunion
Porsche’s periodic Rennsport Reunion events have grown to celebrate the racing and brand heritage in a way far beyond any other manufacturer. The idea grew out of the 1998 Double-50 event celebrating Porsche’s 50th anniversary as a manufacturer and the 50th anniversary of racing at Watkins Glen, New York. Brian Redman and PCNA’s Bob Carlson then worked to put on Rennsport Reunion I in August of 2001 at Lime Rock in Connecticut. That first event was a fairly intimate three-day gathering with the focus on vintage racing and a superb gathering of historic Porsche racing cars. The next two events were held at Daytona in 2004 and 2007. The 2007 event featured no less than 17 of the existing 917s. In 2011, Rennsport moved to Laguna Seca and Monterey, California. Since then it has grown into a festival of all things Porsche. The 2018 event attracted more than 80,000 spectators.
