Notwithstanding the new coupe’s arrival and continuation of the handsome convertible, Nash dealers still possessed unsold inventory from the previous model year languishing in their showrooms, leading to an aggressive allowance and incentive program announced less than two weeks after the doors closed at the Chicago Automobile Show:
This bulletin supersedes and cancels all previous verbal and written interpretations of the above subject matter.
All 1952 Nash-Healey units remaining in Dealer stock as of this date will be credited with a 5% past model allowance which will be credited to your parts account. This special allowance does not apply to any other year or Nash vehicle models.
In addition to the above all 1952 and 1953 Nash-Healey units in dealer
stock will qualify for an engine compartment dress up kit that includes the below listed items.
Chrome Valve Cover and knurled retaining nuts, chrome voltage regulator cover, chrome air cleaner housings & chrome overdrive relay cover.
These items will be handled by your District Sales Manager and will be offered on an exchange basis only. None of the above items will issued without the proper exchange. No labor allowance will be considered.
This program is being instituted due to the recommendation of the Nash Dealer Council in hopes that these items would help separate the Nash-Healey engine from the Ambassador Car line and thus promote additional sales activity for the Nash-Healey.
Available with the same Le Mans Dual Jetfire engine used in the Nash-Healeys, the Ambassador range offered customers a choice of five different trim levels and several optional duotone liveries like the one pictured here. The model’s striking attire, comprised of a bathing suit and winter clothing, is meant to highlight the effectiveness of Nash’s “Weather-Eye” climate control system. (Detroit Public Library)
