 a couple of races in 1952 with a Jaguar XK 120 and a modified MG TD. He was looking for a different car for the 1953 season. Thinking he had found a suitable racer to compete in, Whittington and von Neumann worked out a deal to trade cars – Whittington’s 356 SL coupé (SL 054) for von Neumann’s Gmünd Porsche (SL 063).
