This Huntsville Historical Society marker was sponsored by the Virginia Clay Clopton Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. It was dedicated on September 10, 1958, and is located in front of the home on the south side of Highway 72 at the Madison/Jackson County Line in Gurley, Alabama.
