 COMMITTEES
Task Highlights: This year, the MLS Committee rolled out significant enhancements to its Business Services, including access to statewide public record data through Courthouse Retrieval Systems’ MLSTax Suite implementation. It also deployed a single-sign-on dashboard allowing access to various online services through a single login credential. The committee adopted rules to ensure compliance with NAR’s MLS Policy 8.0 or “clear cooperation policy.” The committee shored up much of its policy and definitions and added the new “Pending Continue to Show” status. A new mobile interface called Paragon Connect was introduced. Electronic Key and Lockbox rules were reviewed and revised, and a new Non-Member Access function was added to the key system permitting electronic lockboxes to be used like combination boxes. The association also began developing a RESO-Compliant regional data server project allowing GBRAR and partner associations to create aggregated MLS data.
GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE: THREE YEAR TERM — Meets as Needed Chair: Lynda Butler | Vice Chair: Linda Fredericks
Purpose: Receives ethics complaints and arbitration requests to determine if, taken as true on their face, a hearing is to be warranted. Must be appointed by the President. REALTOR® Members Only.
Task Highlights: In 2020, the Grievance Committee has reviewed five arbitration requests. The requests total $33,385.50. Each case has been deemed arbitrable and will be mediated. If not resolved through mediation, Professional Standards hearings will be scheduled.
The Grievance Committee has reviewed ten Ethics Complaints; all were forwarded for a hearing. The committee amended six complaints before forwarding.
EXECUTIVE BUDGET & FINANCE COMMITTEE — Meets Monthly - Ken Chair: Chelsea Meng | Vice Chair: Scott Saporito | Treasurer: Debbie Hanna
Purpose: The Executive Committee is made up of the line officers of the Association (President, President- Elect, First Vice-President, Treasurer, Past President and Executive Vice President). This committee makes up the operational leadership team of the Association and sets direction on projects, adherence to the Strategic Plan, is responsible for crafting and submitting the Association’s annual budget to the Board of Directors.
