 CHARITIES AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
CAPITAL AREA ALLIANCE FOR THE HOMELESS
GBRAR partnered for a second time with the Capital Area Alliance for the Homeless to host a community-wide launch event for the CAAH initiative to develop a tiny home community to rehouse the chronically homeless. On March 4, 2020, the fundraising luncheon was held at the L’Auberge Hotel Convention Center and updated community stakeholders on the $250,000 in grant money, accomplished in 2019, to purchase land for the start of a Tiny Home Village.
The event was well attended, gained media coverage, with the Mayor’s representatives in attendance, Metro Council members, leaders from health care, finance, construction, religious organizations, and others.
