Wellbeing - Employee Assistance Programme
The Company appreciate that sometimes we all need a little extra support. As part of our wellbeing support, colleagues benefit from a huge range of emotional and practical mental health support from our partners at Health Assured. Using Perkbox, colleagues can log in to the Health Assured Portal to access a wealth of information and advice on topics such as anxiety, depression, debt, legal issues, bereavement and relationships.
Our EAP offers a suite of wellbeing services such as:
• Critical incident and trauma support
• Online health portal – a comprehensive library of wellbeing information
• Monthly newsletters and webinars filled with helpful advice and guidance
• 4 week support courses on anxiety, quitting smoking, sleeping better, exercising and alcohol dependency
• Access to FREE 4-week CBT courses with a dedicated mentor
• Access to 4 FREE counselling sessions
• FREE unlimited telephone calls where trained councillors and mental health professionals are available 24/7 to support colleagues
• This confidential helpline staffed by trained councillors can
be easily accessed by calling 0800 028 0199 and stating you work for Acorn Insurance
To access the self-help courses, support materials and a whole host
of other wellbeing tools, you simply need to log into your Perkbox account. Once in, look for the Health Assured logo or type ‘employee assistance’ into the search bar. Once you have got this, just click ‘get this perk’ and follow the instructions from there. This is also completely confidential.
For mental health support outside of Perkbox, we also have 40 Mental Health First Aiders, nationwide. Each employee has undergone mental health first aid training and provides a listening session for you to talk to someone on a confidential basis. Support from the Mental Health First Aid team is available at mhfa@acorninsure.com.
