Mr.Muthaiah began the session by exposing the students to the National Education Philosophy which mainly aims to create holistic individuals who can fulfil the requirements of the modern world. For this aspiration to materialize, every student has to ensure that he or she possesses the right fundamentals. One of the quintessential key factors is the right etiquette and discipline. Mr.Muthaiah reminded students to always practice consistency and avoid revising at the 11th hour. Besides, every individual needs a guiding light in their path to success and for students, who better to do so than their very own teachers? This is why he insisted that every student should maintain a close relationship with a teacher to obtain constant guidance especially in their academics.

Mdm. Girija Menon spoke on the power and protection of prayers. Prayers are similar to a GPS system which we use while traversing to places which we aren’t very sure of. She introduced the bag and umbrella theory where the bag symbolized our life and the umbrella took the shape of our prayers. What was meant by this was, say you were walking everyday to school and unexpectedly it rains. You would wish you had an umbrella at that moment inside your bag. This translated into the meaning where the umbrella or prayers worked as an insurance to some expected or unexpected event. However, your prayers must be accompanied by your actions and this is the golden rule she added before finishing.

He explained about Pranayama, an ancient breathing technique/ art which originated in India approximately 10000 years ago which was practiced by the “Yogis”. The 6 benefits of this technique are it eliminates toxins in the body, it makes the body fragrant, lowers acidity in the blood, destroys microbes in the body, enables us to levitate and finally we would be able to see god himself. He ended his speech by enlightening us about the Law of Karma which states every action has a reaction, whether it is good or bad.
ChRISTIANITY
monday- 15/4/ 2019
The service started with a time of worship that was led by a team consisting of Kenneth, Vinci, Say and Le Hong. Next, Pastor Jonathan introduced Pastor Pax Tan to give the message for the next four days. Pastor Pax shared that Jesus loves everyone and then read from John 13 which was about Jesus washing his disciples’ feet but Simon Peter refused to let him. And Jesus replied “unless you let me wash you, you have no part in me”. Pastor Tan shared that Jesus’ disciples were fishermen and the majority of people who followed Jesus were sinners or unclean people (Luke 15:1). Finally, he shared that Jesus loves everyone not only through word but also action.
Tuesday-16/4/2019
Pastor Pax Tan read from Matthew 26 and spoke on how Jesus felt pain and temptation as all humans do. He then shared that Jesus was sorrowful and troubled because he didn’t come to us as a superman but a human to know the pain that we go through. After that, he shared about how the Romans invented crucifixion (death on the cross) for the worst criminals of all time. This passage also says that Jesus asked God to take away his sufferings but he still went through it because it is God’s will and not His. Then, Pastor Tan quoted from a verse “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to know what we went through, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are but was without sin.” (Hebrews 4 : 15). The meeting ended with a word of prayer.
Wednesday-17/4/2019
After worship time, Pastor Pax Tan read from John 19 : 16-30. The passage he read from was about the crucifixion of Jesus. He asked the congregation on why Jesus was crucified. To help understand the situation, he told a story about his friend Larry’s execution because of drugs that wasn’t his. Larry loved his brother so much that he took his brother’s place to be executed. In the same way, Jesus loves us very much so he went through suffering and punishment for us, the pastor concluded. Then he quoted “for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3: 16). This means that God sent his son to die for us so that we won’t be eternally away from God. If we want to have a fulfilled life we need Jesus. Then, Pastor Pax Tan prayed for all and did an altar call where he asked the congregation who wanted to accept Jesus as their personal Lord and saviour. Those who wanted to accept were asked to raise their hands, and he prayed for them.
Thursday-18/4/2019
Pastor Pax Tan shared that holiness and sin cannot mix and reminded us that God didn’t want to punish us and so He sent his son Jesus to save us from our sins. After that he read from John 20. It was about the resurrection of Jesus. He shared that Jesus was buried in a tomb where a big boulder sealed it. And when people went to see the tomb on the third day, Jesus’ body was missing. When Mary started crying, someone asked why she was crying. When she turned around, she was shocked to see Jesus. Because of what Jesus had done for us, we now belong to Christ. Jesus is alive and believers belong to Christ and death has lost its hold on the believers. Then, Pastor Pax asked the congregation one last time on who wanted to accept Jesus as their Lord and saviour. He ended the service by praying for them.
