A Proud Fighting Blue Hen Thingy
There are dark days and there
Are good
Places that make the dark days a bit more bearable.
I'll be honest. I
Remember a time where I wasn't good enough.
All I wanted was a true college experience but
My life simply wouldn't allow such ridiculous fantasies. My
Life, as blessed as it may be, gave me an untraditional experience.
Though I was cut my freshman year and not on a main campus (wombo combo)
Some nights I would lie awake frustrated. Because I felt that I
Have missed so much and I was too different from everyone else. Yet I was
Changed for the better.
Some of the worst experiences of your life can
Forever change the outlook you have on life.
Not that music disappeared from my life
For I was still a functioning capable human being without it and I was for sure a
Better student.
Some hard work and dedication and the greatest pep talk in my life
Have worked wonders. My self doubts, and insecurities toward the activity aren't
Gone,
And
Some days I am frustrated that I am not good enough. Yet the fact that a freshman cut can Remain a solid member of such a talented ensemble is a blessing.
