that experience even in a lifetime. Even though I won’t be in the band anymore, I have memories that I will carry with me forever. For that, I say thank you to every band member I’ve ever been lucky enough to march with.
Time for some shout outs... (I’m a mushy person but putting emotions into text is hard so bear with me)
Tenors – DEEP WOODS! First, I want to thank the tenors as a section for welcoming me in three years ago when I went looking for a new section. I really feel I’ve found my home with the tenors, and that I was meant to be here. You all never cease to brighten my day, and I couldn’t be happier to call you guys my section. To be a co-mom with Sofia this year was honestly so fun, and I loved watching you all grow. I am so so proud of this section and how far we’ve come. We are all so supportive of each other, and I know this section will continue to do great things even when I am gone. Thanks for being the best section out there, and I can’t wait to see you all on the field again at Homecoming <3 until then, posi vibes (p.s., keep the tenor traditions alive!).
Connor Daniel – to my band best friend, thank you for always making me smile and laugh at band. I’ll miss our talks and high fives. I’ll most especially miss your hugs and being buddies of all kind, whether game day bus buddies, Allentown buddies, or pizza buddies <3 You really helped make my senior year special, and I am so happy you were there for it. I hope you always keep your infectious happy energy!!! Love you buddy, never change "#$%
Keith Blake – KEITH! I am so proud of you for going for your dream of drum major, you really kicked butt up on that podium. Watching you from the field was really inspiring to see how much you loved being up there, and I am proud to have played in a band that you led. Don’t ever change, because you always have the best things to say. Keep doing you, and don’t let next year fly by. Enjoy every moment!
Kasey Hobert – Kasey!! You really impressed me with your drive to be a great staff member, especially only as a sophomore! You always have a smile on your face, and I always looked forward to seeing you at band. Also, congrats! You are the new Tenor-Mom-in-Training. Yes, this is a new role, but Sofia felt we needed to change things up a bit. Alongside Darshan and Ryan (whose responsibilities will be listed later), we are giving you the responsibility of providing snacks (because we are a hungry section), extra love, and anything else the section may need. You always have the section’s best interest at heart, so we’re leaving it up to you to call those shots. I know the section’s in good hands.
Eric Abner – Eric, you are such a good person and you make it clear that you care about everyone around you. The section wouldn’t be the same without you, and I really appreciate all your hard work on making staff successful this year. You know what to say, just make sure you say it and don’t be afraid to be the leader you are deep down. You always put a smile on my face, and I will really miss you. Good luck, you got this, and don’t let it go by too quickly!
Matt Walton – my dude, keep eating things, not getting sick, and making everyone laugh. Counting on you. But to be real you are so funny, and you never fail to make everyone smile. Keep that up, the rising seniors are really going to need it. Also, wow look at that you are half done college!! Don’t let it go by too quickly!
Ryan Merritt – thanks for being an awesome dot buddy this year. I’m sad it was our only dot buddy season! You really came in clutch when I literally never remembered those horn pops. You always made me laugh (literally always), and I really appreciated our good talk moments. You really are
