is so close and so so so important to me. Sarv once told us that it was the youngest one she’s had in awhile, but each of us was so mature and grew so much together. Thank you for being the positive light that each band member, myself included, looks up to for positivity and support. I love you all.
Podium and Ladders: THE SUPERSTARS THEMSELVES. To put it frankly: This band would not run without you lovely people working SO hard behind the scenes on gameday and rehearsals. If anyone ever asks me what is the definition of amazing people is, I would point them right to all of you. From showing up early on rehearsals, to showing up even EARLIER on game day, you guys have helped the DMs in every way possible, and you deserve EVERY possible award I could give (which is nothing, so please enjoy this complimentary photo of a corgi butt: https://encrypted- tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn%3AANd9GcSbta982RQ2pURZEU7Wo- B8tsYiFo4pcEFG_VCuKBWO0qlDa1Hu)
The Seniors: Oh god you guys. We really did that. Four years. Four amazing years (in some cases, 5 or 6). There is NO other group of people I would have wanted to graduate with. I was constantly asked if I was going to do a 5th year in band, and I knew that I wanted to leave with all of you. Our entire 4 years together was absolutely incredible. I have never laughed so hard or cried so hard with a group like I did with you. You are the people who I will remember in the UDMB when I’m old and senile. Thank you all for being such a light and leadership of this band. I look up to you in every way imaginable.
Ari and Sofia: Thank you both for being such a positive light. I know I never got the chance to hang out with the tenors but you both kept giving me a reason to call myself a part of the family. I love you both SO much.
Matthew Gargano: MATTHEWWWWWWW. It’s crazy how far we’ve come since freshman year. I still look back on that time and smile because of how much you made me laugh. Thank you for being so fun and light and teaching me how to find joy in every little thing.
Trevor: Buddy. I’m so glad we had this one last season together. You truly helped so much in making my last year fun. From blowing kisses to each other from far away to Pats karaoke, I’m so glad we’ve become friends. SO glad.
Natalie: You and I, we’re like this *squishes two fingers together*. Love you forever my friend <3
Scott and Robbie: The dynamic duo. You guys have made me laugh more this year than I have ever laughed before. The work you’ve done for the band is great and all but I will always remember how we would mess around at ANY time in the season. Thank you both. I love you guys. *roll seduction*
Jess and Anthony: You guys, words can’t express how happy I am that I’ve gotten to know you both. I’m so glad you chose UD because you’ve both been such positive influences on my life. I really look up to you both so much. Years from now when I remember people who taught me what I know, I will think of you two. I love you both so so much.
Alyssa: If I was asked back in my first DMA if I would be a DM at UD with someone else from the same class at UMASS, I would’ve said no way. Alyssa, I’m so glad that person is you. There are times when we haven’t gotten along, but we’ve always recovered because we know that our friendship is so special and will transcend the years we go through life. You were my first friend at UD, and will always be a dear friend in life. Being drum major in this band would not have been possible for me without you. You taught me so much, more than you’ll ever know. I love you so so so so so much.
