COMMUNICATION C
O
How we stay in touch M
M
At Headington, we value the partnership between home and school and we believe that excellence in U
communication makes for a happy and productive learning environment. N
I
Please let us know if you think something is concerning your daughter, however trivial it may seem. We will then C
be able to work with you to give her the right kind of support and encouragement. A
Parents of younger children often meet briefly with the class teacher when bringing their child to school. Parents T
of older children may also speak with the class teacher at this time if they have any immediate concern. The I
School encourages dialogue between home and school and meetings with the class teacher or other staff may O
be arranged by emailing the teacher or through the Head’s PA, Mrs Clare Litten. Meetings with the Head can N
also be arranged through Mrs Litten.
There are a number of ways in which you can communicate with the School. The main number for the School
is 01865 759400, email on reception@headington.org, and our reception staff will be happy to help with any
enquiry.
School website
You will find this at www.headington.org. It includes useful information, such as:
• School calendar
• Social media feeds
• News and events
• Online booking and forms
• Access to the Parent Portal
E-newsletters
Currently we send a fortnightly news round-up called ‘HEADstarters’ by email to all parents in school. On
the alternate weeks we send out ‘Heads-up’ – a look ahead to what is coming up and designed to be an aide-
memoire for busy parents.
Parent Portal
Parents and Guardians are able to access information and archives in the Parent Portal which can be accessed
via the website or at https://parents.headington.org. You will receive login details by email and will then be
able to access all school policies, letters and reports. You will also find your daughter’s timetable and be able to
access her reports.
Letters
Currently, letters are sent to the relevant parents and guardians throughout the week. We only ever send letters
that are relevant to your child to avoid clogging up inboxes. These letters are then uploaded to the Parent Portal
so you don’t have to worry about losing important emails.
Social Media
At Headington Prep School, we have a very active Twitter feed that incorporates all aspects of school life.
Please follow us on @HSO_PrepSch. You can also follow the whole school Facebook account at www.facebook.
com/HeadingtonSch and Instagram account at @headington_sch.
