The Buddha said:
“Every birth is always followed by sufferings.” Why?
Whenever one is born, there will be phenomena constantly impacting us via our eyes, ears, nose, tongue, physical body, mind.
There will be phenomena that are good
and not good, that we like and dislike, taking turn emerging—without a beginning, without an end.
Therefore, anyone who sees sufferings, anyone who sees the harm of the never-ending cycle of birth and death—should have the intention,
the design to extinguish sufferings, to exit samsara—to journey towards
the ultimate goal of the complete extirpation of sufferings.
