WhatsApp automatically finds colleagues from your contacts when you open it up. You will have to add colleagues to contacts if you want to WhatsApp them.
To send a message / start a ‘chat’ tap on the WhatsApp icon A Chat box pops up
Using WhatsApp How to...
Tap here to start chatting to someone from your address book
Tap here to search for someone from your address book
Once you select the person you want to chat with a text box appears
Text your message and tap the blue arrow to send your message
Your conversation will always appear with a green background
Tap on the video recorder to make a video call

Tap on the + to add
Tap the camera to take a photo or a video.
