One group suggested that PCMI send out more packets in the mail, but others agreed that the tool should be used during face-to-face discussions with academics.
While most PCMI members agreed the packet is a helpful and engaging educa onal tool, a sugges on was made to narrow the current focus and informa on.
Publica ons
The groups reviewed the three PCMI educa onal publica ons, which have recently been updated. The publica ons include;
• Choosing the Right Tool
• Photoresists in Photo Chemical Machining
Applica ons
• Terms and De ni ons in Photo Chemical Machining
The groups did not have many sugges ons about the publica ons, but most agreed the website should provide be er accessibility to the documents. A sugges on was made to provide some publica ons for poten al customers, instead of having the library be en rely for members only.

One group did add that increasing networking opportuni es is more important than adding addi onal publica ons.
Other Sugges ons
During the discussion, PCMI conference a endees made some great sugges ons that were not on the original agenda.
• Use LinkedIn, or another site that can be monitored & managed so members can interact with colleagues.
• Publish industry trends by sector, through a newsle er.
• Ask a endees to complete a conference evalua on at the end of each day.
• Encourage members to regularly share ideas and solve problems together. In addi on, nd a balance between working together and doing the right thing for the industry, as opposed to being compe tors.
• Market the value of membership to show that member companies are con nually trying to improve, and have a great support network.
• Regularly issue E-Blasts to members with technical highlights.
• Provide supplier members a forum where they can interact with other members about upgrades on their technology, e.g. trade show like forum at conferences.
