Araz Ardehali Barani | Manager Development and Quality Precision Strip Zapp Precision Metals GmbH | DE | The Effect of Metallurgical Features on the Etching Performance of Stainless Steels and Iron Nickel Alloys
After studying material science at the technical university of Darmstadt, Araz Ardehali Barani started his career in 1999 at Fairchild Dornier Aerospace. From 2001 onwards he was responsible for the selection of the metallic materials used in the body of the aircrafts and the process development.
In 2002 he joined the Max-Planck-Institute für Eisenforschung and worked on the optimization of silicon chromium martensitic steel used in the automotive industry. The results are summarized in the doctoral thesis (PhD at Technical University of Aachen) that was as awarded by the German steel association.
In 2006 Araz moved to the research and development department of ThyssenKrupp Nirosta. In 2008 he moved into melt shop production. Since 2009, he has been responsible for the quality and development of stainless steel melt shops in Bochum and Krefeld. Since 2015, Araz has worked for Zapp Precision Metals and is responsible for the quality and development of the Precision Strip business division in Germany.
