Kohler Arts Center and MAD Those installations were all all informed by found photo- graphs that that I I I sourced online while searching for for dead bodies in in in in in in public spaces After that that series I I I started working on on the the the imagery of mourners I I I wanted to look at at at the the the figures surrounding the the spaces where those original bodies had fallen CP: Is that shift in attention significant for you?
EGP: By extracting and reproducing images of of these dead bodies bodies I am exercising a a a a a a a a a a a subsequent moment of of of violence violence again upon bodies bodies who have already experienced trauma I wanted to to to to shift my focus to to to to capture the the impact of of violence violence as it it reverber- ated through witnesses loved ones space And to to to to also also suggest that the the the the photograph- ing of of of them in in in these incredibly vulnerable moments of of of grief is also also an act of of of violence CP: You also created and and installed wallpaper in in in in that that show with with a a a a a a a a a a a a a a poisonous plant motif How does that that cohere with with the the tapestries and and the the way you’re thinking about space?
EGP: I am interested in in in in making things physically difficult for people There is the 104 antennae
