International CILT Convention from 3 to 6 June2018
The International CILT Convention 2018 took place in Wroclaw, Poland from Sunday 03 to Wednesday 06 June. Over 200 delegates from 26 countries participated in
the programme of seminars, presentations, knowledge sharing, tours and getting together. As well as the International general meeting there were many events relating to Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT) and the Young Professionals (YPs).
A delegation from CILT Ireland attended the convention; including CEO Mick Curran, International President Kevin Byrne, International Vice President Finbarr Cleary and the European Ambassador for CILT Young Professionals Wayne Kavanagh
Wayne Kavanagh, said “the convention was an amazing experience My focus was gaining clarity on the future direction of the young professionals and we achieved this by creating an entirely new, more inclusive concept for developing people in logistics - Next Generation” Wayne had the opportunity to present to a room of his piers and leaders in our industry on young professionals in Ireland He learned a great deal from his international colleagues, who have a different approach to developing CILT
Some notable tours of industry took place in Amazon’s Fulfilment Centre, the Volvo Manufacturing Facility, Kuehne + Nagel’s Operations as well as a visit to the Topacz Automotive Museum for those looking for some history Here are a variety of photos from the Convention
