Paul Byrne (Managing Director), Direct Removals, answers five questions on the go.
What have the challenges been in your career?
a company; more advertising, door to door calls, customer service was our main focus and our staff were also a key factor in our success.
The future for us is to improve and increase our brand and to hopefully increase the size of our team. Also we are hoping to build a reputable brand that people and businesses can come to know and trust which ultimately will lead to an increase in our business. We hope to upgrade our administration and technology within our business in the near future.
What does the future hold?
My biggest challenge probably was to keep focused during the down turn in business during the recession. It was a tough and trying time for all businesses and it sometimes looked quiet dismal. My focus was to get through one week at a time and to try to keep my employees in employment and the business trading. I had to keep our clients our top priority at all times and to ensure that we matched their requirements to a tee. Thankfully it paid off and we have built up a reliable and trustworthy name for ourselves.
What lessons did you learn/ are you learning from this?
How did you/the organisation adapt?
Trust in your team and your product, the business can only survive with a good and willing team behind it and of course a focus on the end game, that is always to improve our reputation and our customer service in order in improve our business.
During this time we had to adapt and change the way we functioned as
Lessons we have learned as a company is we cannot be complacent, we constantly need to be improving ourselves and our services in order to keep on top of our game.
What advice can you give to someone in a similiar situation?
