Approved ADR Driver Training Courses
The bodies listed here have been approved by the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport Ireland to run courses leading to a driver training certificate for the transport
of dangerous goods by road for all classes of dangerous goods except Class 1 and Class 7. Candidates seeking an ADR Driver Training Course should first contact any of the approved training providers to obtain details of the basic and tanker specialisation courses available. Approved courses are limited to a maximum of 16 candidates. Note
that candidates for an ADR driver training certificate must attend an approved course in the Republic of Ireland in order to be allowed to sit the associated examinations. Detailed instructions on how to become an approved training provider are contained in the document. “Guidance for Providers of ADR Driver Training Courses” available from the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport Ireland. Intending training providers should also consult SI.349 2011, which includes details of the fees payable by training providers and examination candidates.
