Managing the Cost of Logistics
Operations: Seminars in Cork
and Dublin
The Southern and Eastern Sections both hosted the event Managing the Cost of Logistics Operations in May and June.
On 25th May the Southern Section hosted CILT members, external attendees and a delegation from UNCTAD (UN Conference on Training and Development) Ghana. Speakers on the evening included Kevin Maughan, CEO Urban Volt, Brian Edwards, MD Cork CBRE, Seona Farrell, Enprova and GrĂ¡inne Lynch, Chair.
The event gave great insights into costing functions such as bespoke solutions to lighting needs, property leasing, and fund training in energy efficiency for logistics companies. This raised many questions and good debate within the room on the evening.
The seminar then took place in Dublin on 15th June. Kevin Maughan and Seona Farrell spoke again at the event with Garrett McClean, Executive Director of CBRE and Eastern Section Chair Richard Butler adding to the event. Again the event raised some very interesting topics and discussion among CILT members and attendees.
CILT looks forward to hosting similar events in the future for our members and stakeholders to attend.
For updates on CILT please look out for our weekly communications Ezine, our social media platforms and our Events Page on our website www.cilt.ie.
We would especially like to thank outgoing Chair of the Southern Section GrĂ¡inne Lynch with all her help in organising the events.
