 CILT Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management 2016
Accredited & Delivered by the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport in Ireland
The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport in Ireland are proud to announce the launch of its new and improved Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management.
The new programme will feature a number of industry lecturers, guest presentations, leading best practice and knowledge, along with module related events which will provide students with an enhanced learning experience.
This course is aimed at those working in the logistics and supply chain management fields and will commence a month earlier than usual due to the revised schedule and content, this will take place on the 24th September 2016 and will be based in Dublin and Cork.
Over two semesters (per year), students will study all facets of logis- tics and supply chain management from both a theoretical and practical perspective. Students will benefit from gaining valuable in- sights from CILT professional events to learn from world class supply chain organisations and professionals during the programme.
Bachelor of Business in Supply Chain Management
As of September 2016, CILT Ireland have launched a new DEGREE PROGRAMME in partnership with Carlow IT. Now, students who have completed the two year CILT Diploma programme will get the option to move on and complete a third year which will award them with a QQI accredited Level 7 Degree.
What is this programme about?
To develop graduates who are equipped with in-depth knowledge, skills and competencies in supply chain management and business to enable them to make a contribution to the business community, in the region, nationally and internationally.
On completion of this course, students should be able to:
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of emerging theories, concepts and methods pertaining to the field of Supply Chain Management in order to assist organisations with development and sustain competitive advantage.
• Demonstrate an extensive up-to-date knowledge and understanding of supply chain management in the context of a changing business environment.
• Formulate and apply ideas to new contexts and effectivly use quantitative concepts and methods to interpret and to critically evaluate data in order to problem-solve in a variety of contexts demanding quantitative literacy.
• Demonstrate managerial ability through the analysis and interpretation and integration of data within various types of business settings, and apply problem solving skills and creative thinking to a range of business issues.
