Road Safety Authority
The aim of the Road Safety Authority is to save lives and prevent injuries by reducing the number and severity of collisions on the road. The current national Road Safety Strategy aims to reduce collisions, deaths and injuries by 30%. The RSA works to improve road safety in Ireland by: Road Safety Authority

The Health and Safety Authority
The Authority was established in 1989 under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, and has a number of major roles including;
• Responsibility for ensuring that over two million workers are protected from work related injury and ill-health.
• The lead National Competent Authority for several chemical regulations including REACH.
• A remit to protect 4.5 million citizens from unsafe products and articles and to enable the international movement and trade of goods manufactured in Ireland. Head Office

Transport Infrastructure Ireland
The National Roads Authority (NRA) and the Railway Procurement Agency (RPA) were merged to become Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) in August 2015. TII’s mission is to deliver transport infrastructure and services, which contribute to the quality of life for the people of Ireland and support the country’s economic growth. National Transport Authority
The National Transport Authority (NTA) is a statutory body established by the Minister for Transport on 1 December 2009. The Authority also has responsibility for the development of an integrated transport system within the Greater Dublin Area (GDA) – Counties Dublin, Kildare, Meath and Wicklow.

Commission for Railway Regulation
The Commission for Railway Regulation (CRR) is committed to advancing railway safety, ensuring fair access to the Iarnród Éireann infrastructure, and monitoring the sustainability of rail transport in Ireland. The CRR is the independent regulatory agency charged with oversight of the safety of all railway activities in the State.
