Driving for Work Seminars
The Health and Safety Authority (HSA), the Road Safety Authority (RSA) and An Garda Síochána hosted a series of free half-day seminars in October in Clare, Cork and Dublin on Managing Driving for Work.
Employers, managers and supervisors must, by law, manage the risks that employees face and create when they drive for work. Many thanks to all stakeholders involved in organising and delivering the four seminars. Richard White from Musgraves gave a presentation case study on his company’s dedication to driver training. Richard stated “I was honoured to be asked to speak at the Driving for Work seminars. Road safety is something I’m very passionate about and this series of seminars were very informative for all employers and employees who have to drive for work.”
Did you know, people who drive for work are 40% more likely than other drives to be involved in a collision.
Further information and resources including; employer guidelines, the responsibilities of the driver, risk assessment checklist forms and safe diving policy documents can be found at http://drivingforwork.ie/employer-resources/
Many thanks to the HSA and RSA for communicating your messages on safety concerns throughout the year.
