Chapter 7: Hibernation
One day, Bunny, Chicken, and Worm’s alarm went off and they said, “Hibernation!”
They climbed into bed, which was a bunk bed with three bunks. Since Worm is the smallest, he has to have the bottom. Since Chicken can fly, he flies to the middle. Bunny hops super high to the top and falls onto his bed with no blanket. His eyes snap shut and he’s asleep. Worm is a bookworm and reads himself ten chapter books, finishes all of them, and then goes to bed. Chicken pulls his blanket all the way up to his ears and then goes to bed.
Worm sleeps with bunny and chicken cuties (in Animal Land, a stuffie is called a “cutie”). Chicken sleeps with worm and bunny cuties. Bunny sleeps with worm and chicken cuties.
Bunny, Chicken, and Worm’s hibernation is sixteen days. They heard a knock at the door in the middle of their hibernation.
Bunny said, “Who’s that in this cold weather?” They looked outside their window and to their surprise, it was Polar Bear!
Polar Bear said, “Come on out. It’s so nice and warm!”
Bunny, Chicken, and Worm shouted, “It’s freezing! What are you talking about!?”
They put on their coats so they wouldn’t be freezing. They put on their sweaters so they wouldn’t be cold. They hunted through their closet for another sweatshirt, just in case they
