Chapter 3: When Bunny and Chicken and Worm go on an Adventure
Bunny, Chicken, and Worm walked and walked and went across the bridge and walked and walked. They bought some bread from the bread store. The bread store leader was named Hippopotamus. All of the stores in Animal Land had animal leaders.
Hippopotamus said, “I lost my blender to make bread!”
Bunny, Chicken, and Worm gasped and said, “We have to help you this instant!”
Bunny jumped outside very fast and chicken ran outside very fast and worm dug himself down very fast. They looked and looked and looked.
They talked to Bird. Bunny asked, “have you seen Hippopotamus’s blender?”
Bird said, “Yes! I saw the blender walking and I saw it fall off the rock. It did not have any eyes. It fell deep down into a cliff and I don’t know where it went.” All the machines in Animal Land are kind of alive, but don’t have eyes, so they can’t see where they are going.
Bunny, Chicken, and Worm moved over to the cliff and looked down. Worm said, “Oh no, oh no, oh no! I’ve got to go down there to see if there’s a pool of water, because I think I hear a stream.”
