ATLANTA CHAPTER REPRESENTATIVE
MESSAGE FROM
Evelyn Ellis White
This past year has been very abnormal, but in spite of it all, we know we serve an awesome God. Many of us have been spending time alone and with limited visitors and that has allowed us to reflect on who we are and who we are becoming in God. Aside from what we have missed, I am thankful for what has remained. God is so good in spite of our faults and here we are celebrating another year of laboring with the greatest assembly of Gospel Music Professionals in the world, the Atlanta Chapter of The Gospel Music Workshop of America, Inc.
Last year when we released our first cd project, we never knew that we wouldn’t be able to travel and spread the Word that was inspired by God and given to the writers, musicians, singers, and soloists that was and is sure to bless the masses. But we carried on any way. We are excited to be still placing emphasis on other songs from the project. For this anniversary, we are highlighting, “We Proclaim”. We are going to proclaim the goodness of the Lord every day and in every way because He keeps showing himself mighty to us.
I am thankful for the many divisions, leaders, members, and supporters who have dedicated themselves to bringing forth the Word of God in song each time we are trusted to minister to God’s creation. A special thanks to my Assistant Chapter Representatives, Board of Directors, Administrative staff, and support persons for all you do to make us successful. A special thank you to Kenneth "The Maestro" Lowe and Rev. Krista Printup-Jones on your work in helping make this Virtual 45th Anniversary happen.
We cannot do what we do without the support of Pastors and Churches who still support us even though we have not been able to rehearse or minister in almost one year. Pastor A. A. W. Motley, Dr. R. L. White, who delivered an awesome message this year for our Communion and Consecration Service, Bishop James H. Morton, Rev. John E. Butler, Rev. Camille Holmes, Pastor Tony Mosely, and Pastor Gregory Sutton, we thank you.
Thank you to all the supporters and patrons who have supported our chapter members by placing an ad of promotion or congratulations in this the 45th year of our existence. We are praying for each and every one of you and look forward to seeing you again once this Pandemic has passed over. Just like many scriptures in the bible begin with, “And is shall come to pass”, the same will be in the times in which we live. Remain faithful and trust God, and we shall see it.
Remember to social distance, wear a mask, wash your hands, and we will see you soon and enjoy many more celebrations.
Love always,
