As we continue to make our way through these difficult times and face the challenges that Covid-19 is causing in in our communities and around the world it is so inspiring to see how people every where have adapted Working remotely learning from home and gathering virtually to to stay close to to family and friends We know that life will not always be like this and we are all looking forward to better days Here at Scovan we feel a a a a deep responsibility to keep on innovating and to keep making progress in in in in in an an industry that enriches people’s lives in in in a a a a meaningful way We are focusing on what we have been referring to as our Post Coronavirus Comeback Plan or in some ways the Re-Launch of Scovan You might think that that it is strange that that we are talking about a a a a a a a re-launch for a a a a a a company that just celebrated its 10th anni- versary Scovan’s biggest competitive advantage over the past ten years has been our nimbleness responsiveness and ability to adapt It didn’t matter if it was developing systems and processes as as we executed the the work for the the first time or or or aggressively ramping up to meet project workload demands or or dealing with the uncertainty that comes when commodity prices plunge we’ve always been able to figure it out The biggest single advantage during times of uncertainty is a a a a a a a company’s ability to adapt and evolve “ the the bigger the the the challenge the the the bigger the the opportunity” We are facing a a a a collection of unprecedented challenges including a a a a a a a a global pandemic public perception turning against the Canadian oil and and and gas industry demands for better environment and and and social performance and uncertain commodity prices This does not mean there is not opportunity opportunity but rather that the the the opportunity opportunity has shifted from what our industry has become accustomed to to There is a a a a a monumental challenge ahead of us but the the bigger the the challenge the the bigger the the opportunity
