Bachelor of Education Honours in Mathematics

The minimum academic entry requirement for the Bachelor of Education Honours in Mathematics Education is an M+4 or NQF Level 7 qualification from an accredited provider of higher education institution through one of the following degree types: a) Four year professional teaching degree, For e.g., Bachelor of Education degree with Mathematics until at least second year or composite degrees such as Bachelor of Arts in Education with mathematics specialisation till second year of study; or b) Appropriate bachelor’s degree and a recognised teaching qualification, For e.g., Bachelor of Science (Mathematics Specialisation) and Postgraduate Certificate in Education; or c) A four year professional teaching qualification and Advanced Diploma in a cognate sub-field of Education Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements as outlined above, but have demonstrable equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through work or other life experiences, may apply for alternative access by proving competency through a formal RPL process in order to be admitted onto the programme
