4.4. Alternative Access Route Programmes
Institutions offer alternative access/extended programmes to help applicants who may not meet the entry requirements for specific degrees and diplomas. Some of the programmes, when successfully completed, allow you to be considered for admission to a particular mainstream programme of study.
In other programmes, you are admitted directly to degree or diploma studies,andtheinitialmodulesarespreadoveralongerperiodthannormal.
Programmes with access routes are indicated in the Programme Choice List. The letter/number in the access route column in the Programme Choice Lists indicates which access programme applies.
