At 10h00 the Master of Ceremonies (MC) introduced to the gathering, the CAO’s Chairperson, Dr Gops Chetty
The chairperson welcomed the guests and conveyed a special welcome to members of the CAO’s Board, the CEO – George van der Ross and to the special guest, Ms Iris Fynn.
The chairperson reflected on the pivotal role the CAO plays in the Higher Education landscape of KZN and the rest of the country. He emphasized the importance of providing young adults with the vehicle to realize their career aspirations.
He expounded on the achievements of the CAO as a Non-Profit Company and ascribed its success to good governance, continuous operational excellence and sound business practices. He gave credit to the Executive Management and staff in general. He acknowledged those staff that have been with the CAO since its inception year in 1978. He commended the CEO, Mr George van der Ross, for his solid leadership and administrative nous he has provided since 2012.
