Note
Being part of the family, Corporate Affairs: Communications unit has been nothing but amazing and experimental for me. I am one person who is introverted and quiet most of the time. The unit has allowed me to be free and be myself. I am an Administrative Assistant Intern and my supervisor, Mr Nkululeko Mbatha has been guiding and mentoring me since day one. I have learnt a lot under his supervision about what is required from me as an administrative assistant intern.
I am currently doing my Postgraduate Diploma Business Information Management at the Durban University of Technology (DUT). I can juggle both my studies and the work I am required to do. Being under Communications has taught me a lot about giving other people an ear and to be proactive.This has to be one of the environments that I feel like I belong to.
I truly enjoyed DUT’s 2023 Spring graduation. It was thrilling to see the top achievers, fashion and the celebrations of the graduates and parents. I know the sweat and tears one puts into their studies and to walk on at the graduation must be a dream come true for their hard work and dedication. Graduation sessions will always bring joy and happiness.
I am forever grateful to be part of the Communications team and being given an opportunity to learn and gain experience. Thankful to my family for the support they have given me throughout my journey as an undergraduate student up until now. Also thankful for the unit for the support it has given me, allowing me to focus on my studies and attend my classes.
Always go for what you want and ensure that you work hard for it. Never give up in life because we live in the world that requires us to give our all and hope for the best in everything.
