4. MIMI Results for the Nyandeni Local Municipality
4.1 Construct A: Enablers of innovation
This section presents results for Construct A of MIMI: Municipal Enablers for Innovation. Table 2 displays the scores for Construct A for the Nyandeni Local Municipality in comparison to the national average. As indicated, the average score for Nyandeni Local Municipality in Construct A was 1, which is 1 point below the national average of 2. The municipality demonstrated achieved a score of 1 across all indicators except for innovation linked to strategy, and accountability and transparency to support innovation where a score of 2 was achieved. These suggest the municipality requires improvement across all indicators to show some enabling conditions for fostering innovation.
