4. MIMI Results for buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality
4.1 Construct A: Enablers of innovation
This section presents results for Construct A of MIMI: Municipal Enablers for Innovation. Table 2 displays the scores for Construct A for-Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality in comparison to the national average. As indicated, the average score for the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality in Construct A was 2, while the national average was also 2. The municipality demonstrated scores of 3 in areas like innovation linked to strategy, innovation linked to performance, and human resources, also scoring 3. This suggests that the municipality shows some enabling conditions for fostering innovation, that innovation is understood and defined, and that there is room for improvement.
