4. MIMI Results for the Cape Agulhas Local Municipality
4.1 Construct A: Enablers of innovation
This section presents results for Construct A of MIMI: Municipal Enablers for Innovation. Table 2 displays the scores for Construct A for the Cape Agulhas Local Municipality in comparison to the national average. As indicated, the average score for Cape Agulhas in Construct A was 2, which was similar to the national average in this construct. Notably, the municipality highest scores (4) in these items: idea take- up processes and political support for innovation. This was followed by a score of 3 in these items: tools for managing innovation and community participation.

4.2 Construct b: Management support for innovation
This section presents the results for Construct B of MIMI: Management Support for Innovation. Table 3 displays the scores for Cape Agulhas Local Municipality compared to the national average. The municipality achieved an average score of 2 for Construct B, which was equal to the national average of 2. The municipality scored 2 in idea screening, knowledge management, networking behaviour, and innovation collaboration.
