The BBSC programmes are designed to address the national shortage of suitably qualified personnel in the sphere of Economics, Finance and Financial Management Services, which include key areas of banking, financial support services, financial planning, international finance, investments and securities, public finance and credit management. Graduates are highly sought after by both private and public domain
employers, as they possess skills to manage the financial assets of public sector organisations and investment institutions, analyse the financial and monetary aspects and performance of business enterprises, banking institutions and governmental institutions. The aim is to equip graduates for entry into a competitive labour market, postgraduate studies or professional practice as a Chartered Financial Analyst, Investment
Analyst, Certified Financial Planner or Economist.
UKZN third- and fourth-year students attended a joint internship programme hosted by Barkers Law Firm in association with the Black Lawyers Association.
