While the limelight of competition often centers on the Faculty and Seniors, thus overshadowing the Under classmen, they are no less an integral part of the CBA Games.
Spending three years preparing for the final round of teamwork, they learn the ropes in and out of the class room. Modified and JV sports toughen their playing ability and sharpen their skills, while NEDT’s, PSAT’s and SAT’s measure their academic progress. Without their steady contribution to the overall effort of the student body, the stream of newspaper notices for academic and athletic achievements would be reduced to a trickle.
Even though the attention of most students was fo cussed upon the turn around of the SU football team, this did not detract from the critical participation of the Underclassmen in CBA’s own sports program. In all sports, underclassmen played key roles in Varsity com petition. Extracurricular activities also witnessed a re surgence of younger students in important roles.
All in all, it was clear that the Olympic struggle here at CBA was heightened by the total dedication and in volvement of the players of the future.
