DEDICATION
/Am,CADEMY 1980 is dedicated to Brother James Wallace,
ESC, who has served as teacher, administrator, and mis­
sionary for the Brothers of Christian Schools.
A native Syracusan, Brother James became a brother in
1955. Since that time, he has worked at St. Joseph's School
in Buffalo, our own Christian Brothers Academy, and at St.
Joseph's Mission School in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he
is presently Academic Dean.
Brother James' presence in Ethiopia exemplifies his devo­
tion to fulfilling the Brothers' vocation - ministry to the
Church and to the world. Through this devotion. Brother
James has won the admiration of many; he truly epitomizes
the ideal of the "Christian Brother."
