NEWSPAPER Purple and Gold Gains Consistency
This year the Purple and Gold made great strides in both production and content. A new computer format provided the vehicle for regular, timely issues. Students applauded the adventures of Captain CBA, a new and somewhat political cartoon. Mariano Garcia maintained the comĀ plaint column and the sports coverage in general was thorĀ ough. Brian Riley led his staffto a level ofprofessionalism seldom achieved by high school newspapers.
