The Big Change
Moving from the Cellar to high school is a big change. We are not at the bottom of the food chain anymore. We have survived long enough to set in on the third floor; we have made it to freshman year. Even though the courses are more complex, and the homework more difficult, we are able to cope with it. Study halls are the most important thing to a freshman because they give us the ability to finish our homework before going home for some R&R. Unfortunately, for many of us, this is the first year of regents courses. Studying and preparing for them is a nightmare and takes forever. The grades we get starting now determine where we will go to college. Luckily college is still a little ways away and we will not have to worry about that right now. So far high school has been great and we are looking forĀ ward to the future and what might be around the corner.
