 The First Day
Starting All Over Again
The first day of school is always a challenge. Everything
is new and different from last year. It seems that I can never
remember the important things again, like my schedule or
my locker combination, no matter how well I knew them
last year. New year equals new number sequences.
The classes are very different from last year. New teach
ers have different requirements and standards. I seem to
get much more homework than I did last year. Such is the
price of moving up the scholastic ladder.
While this year is new and challenging, I think it will be
fun. I look forward to many new experiences. I think that
many things, such as sports, trips, clubs, and friends will
make the 1997 school year a lot of fun. So far it is off to a
good start.
