Moving Up
The Freshmen Plight
As a freshman, each student
finally feels as if his class is getting
some recognition. The assumption
of importance is short-lived,
however.
The first thing new ninth graders
notice is the change from the
ground floor to the top level, where
they are surrounded by teachers
and upperclassmen. Now, if we
could just find a successful way to
move around the hallways without
being bumped or shoved!
Many things besides location
change during freshman year.

Clubs are suddenly opening their
doors for you to join, and sports
become more serious and
demanding. And, there is much
more schoolwork. The tests count
more toward our futures, and we
soon learn that homeroom is not
enough time to do our homework.
Still, you won't see many
Freshmen complaining. Sure, it's a
little harder than junior high, but
taking that challenge head on, and
having fun doing it!
