Hidden away in the basement, past the Chapel and half way to the Brother’s house, is a small office that no one seems to know about. This office is responsible for all the fund-raising activities and alumni events for CBA. This is the Development and Alumni Office and Mrs. MacAvoy, Mrs. Stelljes, and Mrs. McAuliff make it run. The hours of work that these three women put in often goes unnoticed by the student body. Well, that is going to change. Everyone knows about the CBA Corvette raffle and the Auc
tion, but who knows about the annual Golf Tournament, and Fun Day, and all the other events that this office coordinates?

What can it be that drives these dedicated women to do the work that they do if they receive so little recognition? Answer: They are committed to this school and hope that this factor alone will be enough to keep them going for a few more years. After all, where would this school be with out all of the ac tivities for which they are responsible? In closing let me address Mrs. MacAvoy, Mrs. Stelljes, and Mrs. McAuliff and say thank you for all the work that you do and for all the time that you invest. The students of CBA are sincerely grateful, so keep up the good work, and know that now we are thinking of you.

Every year thousands of people enter the raffle, but only one lucky person will win the classic Corvette.
Though many people come to the auction for the items up for bid, many are also drawn to the food. This guest is taking advantage of the culinary creations of last year’s auction.
