 Academy. From the Greek Akademeia. Aka- demoS) The grove near ancient Athens where Plato taught. Academics are the core of what the Academy iS: schol­ arship, the development of the intellect, the relationship be­ tween teaching and learning.
Christian Brothers Acade­ my has a tradition of high standards of academics. Whether fighting with gram­ mar in 7th grade English or struggling with integration in AP Calculus, every student at the Academy is constantly be­ ing challenged to learn and grow. Students enter C.B.A. with various amounts of infor­ mation drifting around in their heads, and when they leave,
they’ve been crammed so full of knowledge, that they can’t remember half of it.
