he energies of stu- f A dents are not all spent on school, sports, and activities. One must remem ber that students HAVE A LIFE outside of CBA. From working, to partying to relaxing stu dents are always wrapped up in their own lives. In the eyes of the faculty and administra tion, student life is and should be an oxymoron, except may be on weekends. The truth is unavoidable though. Each stu dent is involved in other things every day of the year. Some students become completely different outside of CBA. Chris Denton for instance; one would never suspect that he is a jazz singer. Junior Ellen McMahon takes horseback riding les sons. A lot of students at CBA do this activity. Students’ per sonal activities range from skiing to swimming to bicycle
touring to mountain climbing.
In short, students lead live more complex and exotic than people can be led to believe by the seeming formality of school.

Before leaving school, some students relax after school with a can of soda. Does Aaron Church seem to be re laxed?
Conference, (not unlike him at all) Sophomore Nicole Chang went to a Peace conference in Batavia. 7th and 8th graders went to a Science Olympiad competition.
Some of the aspects of stu dent life are less wondrous. Many work long and hard to save money for college. Stu dents watch movies and tele vision shows. Many students have fallen prey to worse af flictions of modern man — soap operas. The popular show is Beverly Hills 90210. Other students engage in healthier activities such as chess, read ing partying, etc.
The lives of students are complicated but generally happy lives. In and outside the Christian Brothers Academy walls, the students are individ uals who experience and en compass far more than just high school.
