Sagcsse et Service a C.S.A.
r. Salwa Hamati has ^I 1been the driving ' force in the C.B.A. language department for twenty years. Her wisdom
and service have made her an example to be followed by students and faculty members alike. Her superi or knowledge of the French language and culture com bined with her encouraging teaching style has pro duced many francophiles and well-rounded students. Many of Dr. Hamati’s stu dents choose to continue their learning of French by
advancing to French IV. In the past a fifth year of French was even offered.
Dr. Hamati’s mastery of French comes from many years of first-hand experi ence. She spoke French as a child and lived in France for seven years. As any stu dent of Dr. Hamati will tell you, she never fails to re member and fully explain a word, even those deadly id ioms. Her classes are char acterized by a patient and caring atmosphere. Ques tions are encouraged and discussion will not proceed
unless every student under stands. Dr. Hamati’s dedi cation to the service of C.B.A. students goes be yond her classroom. She of fers her time before and af ter school and even during her free periods and lunch time.
We hope that Dr. Hamati will choose to stay on with us at C.B.A. for many more wonderful years. She is the exemplar of the La Salllian educator, and she is one of the pillars upon which this school stands.
