 Our Doorway 'Go 3^igh School
Our freshman year was our doorway to high school. It was the best and worst of times all rolled into one. Uncer tainty and anxiety during this transitional period gave way to adjustment and a sense of belonging to a whole unit — Christian Brothers Academy. We ex perienced a new beginning in our lives. We realized that high school entails height ened responsibility, organ ization, self-discipline, and maturity. Ninth grade friendships are deeper, loy alties are stronger, prob
lems seem larger, and laughter is heartier. Fresh men are on top of the world today and at the bottom of the heap tomorrow. They bide their time for forty weeks while being low men and women on the totem pole. Next September they will proudly emerge victo rious as full blown sopho mores.
With luck and confi dence in themselves, the freshmen will not only suc ceed in becoming sopho mores but will shorten their road to adulthood.
Football games allowed students to hang out and enjoy themselves. Chris Bogle, David Viscome, and Eric Davis make it a point to always have fun ... together.
