 A Step Up
8th grade class this f A year is the class of 1996. It has not changed much from the 7th grade class from last year, a little more
mature, a little more adjusted, a lot of new people, and a new personality.
The 8th grade class has six sections! three honors classes and three others. Some 8th graders take Earth Science, others take Physical Science. Some take 9th grade math, others take 8th grade math.
While you might think that with all the new students the 8th grade would be farther apart, it really is not. In fact, it might have brought stu
dents closer together. While some people made entirely new friends, most groups just adopted new students.
The 8th grade has experi enced a change in placement. Last year we were the bottom. While we are not a lot higher, we are not the lowest. We have people to look down on, some one smaller than us.
Our Junior High Student Senate officers are all 8th graders, so we have power. Our president is Brook Negus- sey, our vice president is Les lie Barnes, our secretary is Brad Hubbard, and our treas urer is John Tooley.
Joe Schalk looks busy. Maybe it’s be cause he forgot to do his homework.
Is there a reason behind Marisa Vac- co's and Becky Wehner’s laughter, or is it just one of those "girl things?”
